Materials Testing COVID-19 Response

TEC and its associated instrumentation product lines are classified as part of the Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers as defined by the Department of Homeland Security. Our instrumentation is used widely to support aviation, nuclear power production, electricity distribution and military customers. All of these industries are defined as critical infrastructure. Additionally, many of our customers (as part of keeping their supplier base open) have notified TEC that we are part of the critical infrastructure and have been asked to maintain our current level of operations to sustain their supply chain. We recognize that per the Department of Homeland Security guidelines “If you work in the critical infrastructure industry, as defined by the Department of Homeland Security, you have a special responsibility to maintain your normal work schedule.”

To meet these requirements, TEC is open for business as usual.  To assure the safety of our personnel, we have asked many employees to work from home. Others that are required to work in our facility are operating under more stringent health and safety protocols as well as working in more sparse shifts to reduce the overall risk of COVID-19 infection. During these difficult times, TEC remains committed to meeting its obligations to remain open and support our critical infrastructure while assuring a safe working environment for its employees.

We also want to assure you that we remain committed to customer satisfaction and that all methods of customer service communication remain available. You can contact us directly via email at tecsupport@tec-materialstesting.com or by calling 865-966-5856. Thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,
William “Buddy” Simpkins
CEO
